The Pisgam: Toraso Umnoso Yud Ches Iyar, 5772

When we speak of Lag B'Omer, the detail by which we must first begin is that which is closest to the general idea of Lag B'Omer- Limmud haTorah. Even more so, "Toiling in Torah" - the idea is to make it so that "Torah is one's whole career" (the essence of Rashbi).

The practical lesson from this is that by each person there has to be a "Toiling in Torah" and the concept of "Torah is his career."

Answer: Who Owns the Chametz? Yud Ches Iyar, 5772

In the previous bulletin the question was raised concerning a Jew who was married to a non-Jewish woman, r"l. When Pesach arrived, the man got rid of all his personal chametz. However, his wife continued to eat her chametz in her own corner of the house. After Pesach, quite a bit of this chametz remained. This now posed a dilemma for the otherwise observant husband: Was this remaining chametz considered to be owned by the husband on Pesach, placing it in the category of "chametz she'avar alav haPesach," from which benefit may not be derived? Generally speaking, what a Jewish woman owns is acquired by her husband, but does this apply to a non-Jewish wife as well?
